The Rising Sun Community School (RSCS) had its 3rd annual Gingerbread Ball at the Floyd Event Center on Saturday December 10th. It was a fundraising family formal where attendees enjoyed dining, dancing, desserts and more.
There was a pasta bar with all the fixings, a cash bar and Blue Mountain Kombucha in the lobby. Pictured serving at the pasta bar are Maggie Hessinger (left), a RSCS parent and board member, and Susan Cavallo Saunders (to Hessinger’s right), RSCS director and primary teacher.
Attendees browse around a table of donated silent auction crafts and gifts. The donations from individuals and businesses were an important part of the school’s fundraising campaign.
Two Katie’s get into the spirit of the festivities.
Attendees took to the dance floor to dance to the music of Fat Catz, a funk/rock jam band from Blacksburg.
The Floyd Eco-Village’s Event Center was decked out in lights and ornaments.
And some of the fashions were Old World.
