The Unwritten Poem
A poem unwritten
is like a dream forgotten
that haunts you to remember
throughout the day
It’s like sugar in a packet
opened but not used
that sticks to the paper
and won’t pour

I’ll get an idea or some lines in my head and I’ll say, oh I’ll remember them and write them down later…when later comes, they are gone with the wind. So I’m learning to grab that pen immediately.

A poem certainly impacts on the poet for some lingering moments. It is quite related to the efforts in getting it done!
