Collusion
The moon tripped across the sky
and landed lopped on its side
It lingered before it crept away
like an all-nighter
in a fender bender
avoiding the sun
full blown and swollen
while hit and run stars
take cover in daylight
as if nothing ever happens at night

Ah, those stars taking cover in daylight indeed…but they are still there, out of our view, awaiting another all-nighter. Enjoyed the way you expressed this, Colleen.
