2. We were greeted on Christmas Eve by our grand elves with nerf guns that were traded for lightsabers. Luckily, the force was with us and Santa and Christmas prevailed. – More from When Santa Was Taken as a Human Hostage HERE.

10. “ I have always thought that poetry is autistic: it revels in patterned sound. For me, poetry is more natural than spoken language, maybe because I spent so many years hearing it without comprehension. I would simply attend to its intonations and rhythms. Even now, when I can decode spoken language easily, I notice things such as alliteration, assonance and consonance. A poem is like a person wearing earrings: it shimmers in the light. I of course use poetry to talk about my life, but a poem is only satisfying if it proceeds from an awareness of sensuous patterns.” – Deej – Listen to a fantastic poem by this non-verbal man with autism HERE.

It looks like you had a great one, CR, as did My Beloved Sandra and I, albeit considerably scaled back (at her request) this year for one year only, she says. ALSO: Thanks for the nod/link to the carols. 2018 can only be better, I think. I hope. I pray.

The leggings = cool.
Yep, it was a gallbladder removal in 2013 that left me messed up. I’d had multiple abdominal surgeries 20 years prior and that created a lot of scar tissue which stupid surgeon simply cut straight through without removal, causing lots of nerve damage to pathways that then caused constant cramping (and no strength) in my abs. You can hardly do anything when your stomach muscles stop working. It’s taken loads of therapy to try to get me back to where I can sort of function. So if you can keep your gallbladder, do it. I wish I had.

Loved #9 especially, but all your pictures and post parts were so much especially your take on Poetry in #10. I’ve been a singer all my life so I hear poetry in that way… And even in prose it jumps out at me…. Happy New Year to one of the loveliest families on the planet!

Seems that you had a cheerful Christmas ! It’s nice when the whole family is together unless it’s an occasion to fight, which happens unfortunately often, lol !
