2018: Sealed with a Kiss
-The majority of the following photos first appeared in the Floyd Press on January 4, 2018.
Music Road Company entertained an enthusiastic crowd at Dogtown Roadhouse’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration Sunday night. Pictured above are (left to right) John Hill, Jake Thomas on drums, Luke Thomas and Janiah Allen.
Karina Miller (left) and Emlyn Satterwhite, Miller’s friend from North Carolina, got in the festive spirit.
Dancers moved to Music Road covers and originals, which included lots of reggae.
Some party-goers blew noisemakers.
Joe and I were happy to have made it through 2017 and to midnight for 2018.
Music Road band members, including their horn section, hammed it up in the photo booth during intermission.
As midnight drew close, the Roadhouse provided guests with complimentary champagne for New Year toasting.
The bandmates’ significant others joined them on stage at midnight for the traditional New Year kiss.
I love living in a town with live music and with people that love to dance to it! Thanks Dogtown!
