The New World
The sky is the theater of the beach
Every day is a new world
that hasn’t been seen
Every royal glimmer of sun
that shimmers the shore
is a boundless wealth
won by everyone
While clouds shift like scenes
from an unfolding story
time fills and empties
wave after wave
washing away
every yesterday

I remember moments when I’ve just been sitting right to a shore watching the waves… each different and each the same… really a theater scene.

Your poem helps me think of the sky in a new way. I love the idea that the sky is the theater of the beach. Definitely a lot to watch when one looks UP. The scenes shift before our very eyes…and yesterday becomes today becomes tomorrow.
