They Come in Colors
And they have been for 32 years. It was the anniversary show of The Kind at the Pine Tavern last night and the band’s community of fans came out.
I had to peel layers because the show was not in traditional tented pavilion, but in the Pine’s indoor dining room addition, a small space for so many dedicated twirlers like myself.
I might have gone a little deaf after the first set, but it somehow seemed worth it.
I never got a video clip, but Tom Snediker, our Garcia-esque guitarist, streamed it live on Facebook.
All you need is contact high, a love of Grateful Dead music and The Kind’s hillbilly psychedelic folk rock version of it to have the best time. Big smiles and sing-alongs are always contagious. / Our World Tuesday
