There’s a New Campaign Headquarters in Town
Anthony Flaccavento is campaigning for the 2018 Democratic nomination for Virginia’s 9th Congressional District, the seat that Democrat Rick Boucher held for more than two decades and that Republican Morgan Griffith now holds. On May 20th, the Abington farmer, author, small business owner and sustainable economic development consultant cut the ribbon at a Campaign Headquarters in Floyd during a well-attended Grand Opening and Open House.
In November Flaccavento (seated on the left) was in Floyd speaking to members of the Floyd Democratic Party about his ideas for bottom up economy, rather than a trickle down one. He spoke of wanting to see the playing field leveled between rural areas and urban centers in VA and between Wall Street and Main Street. Education, health and health care were some of the issues he stressed the importance of.
Three of Flaccavento’s interns from Radford University were at the Open House. They had been canvasing door-to-door in Floyd and reported that the response was positive.

Ha ha! I never thought Barrack Hussein Obama would allow him to become our president either!
