A Music Lab performance band, called Her Majesty, opened for Music Road Co at Dogtown Roadhouse Saturday night, bringing dancers to the floor and applause from patrons.
It was a surprise performance that featured primarily original songs, written and sung by 15-year-old Floyd Countian Lily Byler (pictured).
Drummer Hallie Weitzenfeld (granddaughter of Judy and Billy Weitzenfeld) is another band member with Floyd ties. Filling out the band, is thirteen-year-old Jack Martin from Botetourt County and Trent Wade on bass guitar.
The Music Lab at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke is an educational program that offers hands-on experience and instruction in all aspects of the music and entertainment industries to aspiring young musicians.
It was a double dose of dancing when Music Road followed Her Majesty!
