The 13 Take Off
1. I don’t know if writing is a meditation but it’s certainly a training of the mind’s muscle.
2. A certain amount of procrastination is like foreplay to a main event.
3. I resist pre-packaged lines over the mess of putting things in my own words.
4. I had a dream last night that I was asleep in the camper when I heard my grandsons at the table talking. The eldest was speaking in an Eastern European accent, and I was thinking ‘these boys might not be who I thought they were.’
5. Did The Who name their band after their song, Who Are You?
6. My grandsons really aren’t who they were. They are becoming young men.
7. I think the test of my life’s purpose is in how fast I would drop everything for my grandsons, my sons, my husband or siblings.
8. I’ll never think of mice the same again after see THIS.
9. The automatic door at TJ Max in Roanoke squeaks like the screech of a cat.
10. Someone who saw the above video labeled the mouse OCD. Someone on Facebook who might have had OCD, called it CDO, putting the letters in alphabetically order.
11. Like a baseball player with warm-up tics / I’ve been through all my favorite habits / waiting for the pulse of a poem in play / for the grip and crack of contact … Read the rest of my poem “Bunt” HERE.
12. With the flick of a switch daffodil are lit. See HERE.
13. Writing is like flying a kite. You need the muse like you need the wind for something to take off.

well, I love #2. How refreshing your comment was on my blog, and how fun your post is too. Did you read any of my sunday stories? I’ve been writing for a while now, but am fairly new to fiction and dialogue. They under the label writing for pleasure on my blog Not afraid of color.
Glad to meet you. We just moved from Annapolis MD to Aurora CO last year, whew, it’s been a very disruptive time and I miss the MidAtlantic.

nice meditations
I agree, procrastination is the part where you decide you’re going to stand, where the light is best, and which pen to use. It all matters.
