The Tulip Tour

I went in search of tulips to make up for the ones that the deer ate in our yard.

I had been missing Monet’s Garden like a lost lover after our fling in Paris last August. I had a strong desire to see tulips.

I knew where to go, The Hahn Horticultural Garden in Blacksburg, and Joe met there after work. The gardens are part of Virginia Tech and they look different every time of year.

At first I was disappointed that the tulips were in Hokie colors, orange and maroon.

But after walking around, I discovered tulips in every color and shape.

Tulips and then some.

Koi fish too.

Have a Happy Easter, and don’t forget to stop and smell the lilacs. This post is dedicated to my friend Lisa who loves tulips too. HERE’S a post about Joe’s and my trip to the Hahn gardens in 2017.

I would *love* to stop and smell the lilacs and see the tulips, but sadly neither grow here in this part of the world. I live for pictures like yours and the ones my Daughter texts ….and on my memories.

Lovely pictures. Hahn Garden looks beautiful.
A few springs back we’d gone to see some tulips at a farm in Oregon. And it was one-of-a-kind of an experience.
This year we decided to go see some Golden poppies. 🙂

Fabulous colors or beautiful blooms!!
I love seeing tulips but, in my garden, I have to dig them up each year for them to bloom properly. Sometimes, I forget!
