I’m jumping on the CBD Oil bandwagon, only in this case, the bandwagon is Barb’s Blue Bus.  Joe and I stopped by the soft opening of OUTERSPACE, the collaborative street venue of John Beegle’s Bootleg BBQ, Erika Johnson’s Revolution Juice Yurt and Barbara Gillespie’s Grateful Bread Blue Bus.

Joe ordered and I tasted one of Erika’s smoothies called Tulum (coconut milk, banana, cacao, peanut butter and dates) with a dash of CBD.  CBD comes from the hemp plant and is not psychoactive. It’s been shown to be helpful with anxiety, insomnia, cognition issues, pain and more. Along with tasty, high protein, sweetened with dates smoothies etc,  Erika is also selling pre-rolled CBD smokes from the Buffalo Hemp Company, grown right here in Floyd by friends of ours.

After sipping, socializing and hammock swinging, we headed over to the Small Town Summer concerts in the park for some dancing. At one point while Toubab Krewe was playing, I smelled a familiar scent and learned that CBD smoke smells just like pot.  If I’m on the bus, I’m still at the learning curve!  Look for more on OUTERSPACE, Small Town Summer and Buffalo Mountain Hemp Company in upcoming issues of The Floyd Press. / Our World Tuesday
