A break in the rainy weather meant a good turn-out for the 5th installment of Small Town Summer, a town concert event that is free to the public.
Held every other Thursday evening at the Warren Lineberry Park, the event offers activities for kids and opportunities for community organizations to share what they do.
“My kids love it,” said Niki Burgard, who has attended other Small Town Summer events. “They run around and find their friends.” Burgard, who was with some out of town relatives, mentioned that she also liked the relaxed community environment where everyone looks out for each other.
There are two more Small Town Summer events in the series. The next one will take place on August 15 and will feature the bands Nobody’s Business and Po’ Ramblin’ Boys and a movie screening of Dumbo.
