When I was younger I almost always had a book nearby, in case I got bored with nature. Now I don’t want any distraction … who knows, someday in the future, maybe today’s younger generation will look at the beauty in front of them and put their phones away for a few minutes.

Your post reminded me that I liked to read the Sunday funnies and the entertainment section after we ate Daddy’s grilled fish and whatever Mama packed in the basket on our beach picnics. Sweet memories. 🙂

It was “How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence” by Michael Pollan. We were sharing it but then Joe left it in a restaurant!
