A Frightful Fall
Wrinkled with age
Some cackle as they fall
from broomstick branches
on bony bare limbs
outstretched like arms
that could grab you

Oh how I aspire to be one of the cackling ones! I love the thought of those limbs grabbing and how one can also think of them as somehow catching. Very fun read!

Those trees are better than us by dropping their limbs they can regrow them and still wave their branches and shower us with their leaves in fall.
