Afternoon Testimony
The cows loud protest
is punctuated by crows
in a two-sided duel of complaint
The birds hold their song
in the noisy unrest
where the sun’s steady shine
is the one saving grace

The duel I hear over here are the crows and traffic. I like it when the crows distract me from the low roar.

Maybe they weren’t complaining but trying their best to sing. Sounds like a hymn to me, anyway, those are some favorite sounds rom some favorite creatures.
