Blues@Blue 5 on Valentine Eve
I had an IPA beer called Cigar City Fancy Papers and a Raspberry Wheat called Purple Haze at the Blue 5 in Roanoke.
It was the first part of our Valentine weekend date after swimming in the heated pool at a nearby hotel.
We were drawn to the Blue 5 because our regional talent songwriter/guitarist Jordan Harman was playing with our Floyd friends Janiah Allen on bass and his brother Jamiel Allen on keyboard.
Jordan played a song in honor of Valentine’s Day that he wrote for his wife.
I loved the hip hop he inserted into his rendition of Come Together, which we heartily sang along with.
We had burgers and loaded fries and even a dance (when no one else was dancing).
Back at the hotel room we dug into the Floyd Cocoa Mia handmade chocolates that Joe gifted me with. Now it’s day 2 (V-Day). We’re dressed in red and off to enjoy the Taubman Museum HERE. / Weekend Reflection /Our World Tuesday

Looks like you had a fun Valentine’s Day too! I wish I could have tried the loaded fries and dancing with no one else on the floor.
Remember we used to do that all the time and one time, I asked the band member if it was ok to dance and he said yes, the others have to get drunk before they can dance and sure enough – wall to wall people on dance floor about an hour later!

We danced one right before we left so don’t know if we started anything. I still regret not dancing a couple more – saving up for big Valentine’s Day the next day. It was a great danceable band.
