From 15,000+ at Floydfest to 15 in the Courtyard
In these pandemic times, we take our entertainment where we can find it.
It was a lovely break from my stay-at-home routine to spend time at the Villa Appalachia winery on Saturday.
Not only did Jim Sharkey sing Wagon Wheel, but the wine was exquisite, the cheese plate delicious, the sun shone the whole time and my catch-up conversation with my friend Katherine was fun.
On top of the pandemic, the lack of unifying leadership and the unrest in our country, I also recently contracted shingles. Katherine and I met another friend in the courtyard who is also dealing with the shingles, a most baffling illness. We offered each other support and compared notes, which I think made us both feel a little better.
Jim also makes earrings out of guitar strings. That’s his mother on the cover of his new CD.
Check out his webpage HERE. And HERE is a story I did for the Floyd Press when Jim, who is from Ireland, played for St. Patrick’s Day at the Bella Vista B&B. / Our World Tuesday

Aww … what a wonderful tribute Jim made to his mom by putting her pic on the cover. So sorry to hear of the health issue, as if there aren’t enough things going on already. Stay safe. Be well.

Good to see some social distancing going on.
