The Yardbirds
I’m pretty sure if I had my car parked in the yard, Mrs. Robin would try be a hood ornament.
She poses all over the yard as if she was auditioning for the job.
She does have something to preen proudly about.
This is Mrs. Wren. Every time the birdfeeder gets near empty, she starts filling it with twigs to make a nest.
She works very hard.
The other birds come to feed and she pokes her head out the window and scares them off.
These birds pay their room and board with fresh eggs every day.
Lately, I’ve been singing “I Am the Egg Man” to my grandson Bryce.

Love the stories with the birds and Mrs. Wren scaring off the other birds. Have a nice week.

Thanks for sharing photos of Mrs. Robin and Mrs. Wren. I’d say they’re good neighbors, and you love having them in the neighborhood.

That’s a healthy and happy looking robin. I like the idea of a robin hood ornament. Maybe next year we’ll be responsible enough to raise a couple of egg layers.
