Happy Campers
The tortoises won the race. We knew they would because that’s the way the story goes.
The tortoises traveled by foot but the hares had wheels. We think they got overconfident.
Some took an afternoon float.
Some cooled down in other ways.
I got a four-star rating from Liam for my camp chili. He added another star because there was corn on the cob with it. There were also fresh picked blueberries from our garden, which reminded us of Uncle Josh, who loves blueberries, and which are ripe every year on his birthday. It was his birthday! So we faced-timed him!
There was some Frisbee golf and corn hole, camp stories and songs to learn.
A rainbow surprised us.
And marshmallows were roasted over the fire.
Or in some cases burned to a crisp, just the way we like them.

Haha … is there anyone who doesn’t love crunchy marshmallows or hammocks for that matter? Oh … My … Gosh! Did anyone turn around to look at that stunning rainbow … so heavenly … what a beautiful spot!
