11. I had the pool to myself for a bit yesterday and this put a smile on my face: watching milkweed seeds (sometimes stuck together) blow across the length of the pool (more than once) and hoping they wouldn’t fall into the water, and they didn’t.
12. The Republic National Convention quite literally defies reality. CNN and other media reported the need for an unprecedented amount of live fact checking because there was more dishonesty the first night than four nights of DNC. I watched some of the speeches it but had to mute some (Don Jr. and his girlfriend) because I could tell by their body language the hateful make up of the speeches, and I use the term “make up” as an intended pun because they literally make stuff up.
13. Let smiles be the contagion. Be touched by love. Spread goodwill and let it go viral.

A pool to yourself is heaven… Zen. Happened to me a few times in Florida (pre Covid, would be even more heavenly now, but we are in Oregon)… does that make me anti-social? I went to the link to Ron’s new-form poem and I am in awe. I went to your poems and was happy. I have commented on maybe three or four out of thirteen and will restrain myself from more only because I don’t have your gift of saying a lot in a little (sadly, I’m kind of exactly the opposite.). Thanks!

Pot made by my Asheville potter son Josh back in the day! Over the years the bear and raccoons have knocked him off his tree and he lost part of his nose and maybe a tooth!

I watched none of the RNC live. I did pick and choose a few speeches to hear. Was gobsmacked by the First Lady’s choice of wardrobe. Nothing says Russia like that outfit. Whew.

You’ve got me imagining myself swimming with the fishies off Hawaii. I am alive. 🙂 I had good intentions to watch the convention on CSPAN. I lasted maybe 20 seconds with the first speaker of the night. I could handle the convention through the eyes of Colbert. This current GOP configuration is frightening. Shudder. I want both full proof and fool proof.
