Art Therapy
Art can be a cure for the pandemic/election blues.
So, I went to an art exhibit at the Floyd Center for the Arts. It was curated by master potter, 16 Hands co-founder/member and FCA’s 2020 featured artist Silvie Granatelli.
Silvie not only shares some of her personal collection of other potters’ work, which she describes as “singular and distinctive, reflecting strong voices,” she walks viewers through the exhibit via video.
I was the only one in the gallery. Turns out, while I love the hub bub fun of an art opening, I actually see and absorb displayed work better when I have the gallery to myself.
The show is on display through October 11th. I highly recommend it.

Oh, these do look unique and one of a kind. Seems being alone in the gallery brought the artists closer in spirit. I like all the work pictured, especially the yellow dish with the lid.
