The Christmas Parade Was Cancelled But Santa Still Came to Town

Santa was in town greeting children at The Sacred Star and Stone on Saturday. The young ones had to decide whether to give Santa the benefit of the doubt or not.
The warm weather brought out shoppers and visitors. Some musicians took up their instruments and played along the sidewalk.
A scooter rider whizzes by OuterSpace where locals and visitors at the outdoor cafe enjoyed Bootleg BBQ and smoothies from Revolution Juice.
The Pickett family was in town for lunch Floyd Country Store and then to get their Christmas tree at a nearby Christmas Tree Farm.
The town’s pole mounted snowflakes give the downtown scene a holiday touch.
Community window decorating in the Farmers Supply windows was organized by the Floyd Tourism Office to bring some light to the Main and Locust Street corner, which would otherwise be dark, due to the store closing.
