We Ran Away with the Circus
We ran away from the cold and ice.
We started with a visit with friends in Venice, Florida where alligators greeted us at their community entrance. The big one is named Goliath.
Also at the entrance was an island on a lake where egrets, herons and pelicans roosted in the trees at night.
We drove past the Barnum and Bailey winter home that was recently torn down, but a few trapeze bars are still up and I heard circus folks still practice on them.
Venice Beach is an island. I call this shot Pay Pier View=Priceless. We took off masks for the pose and also felt comfortable with most everything being outside.
I don’t know what to say about these geezers. They were not shy about waiting for fish scraps.
Now we’re off in our camper, headed south for warmer gulf water to swim in._________________Our World Tuesday
