A kiss is when the bocce ball you throw ends up touching the pallino target ball and you get an extra game point.

“Mama Gonna Knock You Out.” That’s what my friend Chris said when  it was my turn to throw.

I like bocce ball because anyone, even me, can play and even after a glass of wine.

I also like the Villa’s semi-sweet raspberry wine called “Raspberry Taxi.”

We came to hear Seph Custer perform. Does this sound familiar, Chris?

We worked up our appetites before heading to the Villa with some hiking down in the CCC Camp lower trail of Rock Castle Gorge.

We made it to the old Austin/Connor Homestead.

Joe’s nephew David said it was the best day he’s had since moving to Virginia to work for Norfolk Southern Trains as a conductor.

“This is our everyday life in Floyd,” I told him.
