Sistahs!
I put my Massachusetts sisters to work collecting eggs right away.
Love of dancing runs in our family.
Floyd Small Town Summer with Music Road Company was a blast. I told my sistahs ‘this is how we live all the time in Floyd!”
Besides the Small Town Summer dancing, Trish got a nice immersion of Floyd at Mary Brown’s yoga class Saturday morning, followed later by a Buffalo Mountain Brewery flight.
And more dancing!
Since my sistahs have been here, they have seen bear, deer, a black snake, hens, a hummingbird and of course cows, like the ones that hang around the brewery.
We took an uphill hike but my sistahs are strong!
And we were rewarded at the end of it with the 69 foot Cascades Waterfall!
The water was cold but my sistahs are strong.
More so than me.
I got the idea for this shot after watching a wedding couple at a photo shoot do it and had to get it out of my system.
It almost looks like the waterfall is part of her train!
I told my train conductor nephew David that he was a “trained train conductor” and he answered, “I’m getting my life on track.”
We found a button on the ground, which everyone in my family knows is a sign from our other sistah Kathy who passed away in 2015 and who leaves us buttons in unlikely places.
The waterfall rejuvenated us for the hike back.
Trish tried the dip pose too.
We visited the Hahn Garden at Virginia Tech to see what was in bloom.
I’d have to say the flowers weren’t the only things in bloom!
We topped off this Summer Solstice Day with dinner at The Cellar where Joe got a Happy Father’s Day call from Josh.
