The Off the Record Friends and Family at Floydfest Post
Going to Floydfest every July has been a 20-year tradition, like our version of summer camp, and our family shot is always one I treasure.
But after taking 400 pictures of the bands and festival scene while working on coverage for the local paper, I always realize too late that I have too few pictures of family and friends.
I’m thankful for the ones I did manage to get and for the off the record fun and conversations!
By Sunday it all hangs out for me with some good vibrations and good libations with friends and some last time spent with my son Josh before he heads home to Marshall, NC.
This time we celebrated with a Party in the Garden!
A wind-up before the wind-down, dancing barefoot to some classic ’80s covers (Bowie, Cars, Petty etc.) by My Radio.
And spotting some friends through the fog machine haze.
It’s always a little sad when Floydfest is over. After five days, it becomes like a lifestyle that we want to keep living.
But there’s always next year to look forward to, having more time with and taking more pictures of family and friends.
This is the last picture I took out of about 400. It’s a wrap! / Our World Tuesday

I would be in a picture taking frenzy too with so many nice faces, family and friends. Looks like a blast to the recent past before the pandemic hit and possible thanks to vaccines I assume.

I have to say as I said in my comment on FB. I am sorry I missed it❤️
