In line at Walgreen’s the other day I was standing behind a young man wearing a Floyd Fest T-Shirt (here in Eugene Oregon). I was thinking how in pre-covid times I would have certainly engaged him in conversation about how the two towns are similar (and why I knew that, which he wouldn’t have understood at all of course) — but, probably luckily for him, six feet away and masked, there is no such thing as casual conversation any more!

WOW. I see people in Red Sox hats all over the country and always feel kin and stop to talk. Maybe today it would be a thumbs up.
