Christmas 2021: It’s a Wrap!
Or should I say ‘unwrap?’
There’s always a family Christmas album cover shoot.
This year we got a little wigged out.
Some learned to play backgammon.
I’m officially part of a Backgammon family now (outnumbered), which doesn’t help me much as a Scrabble player.
I didn’t get a Scrabble game but I did get an electric motor for my bike. While others played with a drone, I tested my ride out.
Then came second gear, friends started to arrive for our annual Christmas Eve Cookies and Kahlua party.
A neighborhood Yankee Swap is part of the tradition that is older than this blog, which started in 2005.
The fun always includes a gag gift or two.
Some people come in matching pajamas. It was baby Allister’s first Christmas and we were thrilled to celebrate with him.
There’s always good cheer, good cookies and merriment. We’re happy to be together.
Christmas morning brought another game of backgammon.
And more presents to unwrap.
Some showed off what they scored.
Me, I’m not happy till I get my French Broad chocolates and my homemade Christmas stolen from Barbara von Claparede. I also got two more tea mugs from local potter Josh Manning, making a set of four. Tea anyone?

Love your family’s Christmas story! Love the cookie & Kaluah idea & the yankee gift exchange with a gag gift. Will join you for a cup a tea in January!
