1. The weekend was full with two special birthdays and a beautiful memorial celebration for a friend.

2. “It’s a white ball of fire! became a catchphrase.

3. It was actually a carrot cake.

4. I just now lost the exclamation point on my keyboard. I couldn’t find it by looking, so had to trust my fingers.

5. “One is a flower. With others, we are a garden.” Jackie Farr, 7/22/49 – 9/17/22

6. “You might recall what it’s like to be with someone who has grieved deeply. The person has no layer of protection, nothing left to defend. The mystery is looking out through that person’s eyes. His work demonstrated practical implications during the COVID-19 pandemic when he found that people infected with the virus who carry a gene variant inherited from Neanderthals are more at risk of severe illness than whose who do not… More HERE.

12. “A network of love criscrosses the globe. The delicate shining lines form a tenuous web from one end of the world to the other. There are so many threads of love in the world, so much love going on, for and from so many people. To have partaken of and to have given love is the greatest of life’s rewards. There seems never an end to the loving that goes on forever and ever. Loving and leaving are a part of living.” – Helen Nearing, from Loving and Leaving the Good Life, read at my friend Sumati’s memorial celebration.

13. “In all chaos, there is a cosmos; in all order a secret order.” Carl Jung _____________Thirteen Thursday
