Dogtown Double Header
Some jam with that? All the way from Mississippi. Whether the memorable sound of The Dead or Pink Floyd or their originals sandwiched in between, The Royal Horses were thoroughly entertaining.
I got a merchandise pin, pinned on by the band’s drummer in thanks for all my dancing.
Joe says, “If they’re not on your radar yet, make sure you check them out the next time they’re in Floyd for some great originals (like THIS) mixed in with stellar covers…”
Southwest VA’s Jared Stout Band’s great energy, songwriting and musicianship drew a full-house the next night.
Still feeling the high from winning runner-up at Floydfest’s On-the Rise patron-voted competition, they got a warm welcome and got dancers on their feet!
I only made it for one set, but never sat down for that. Now I’m a true fan. Spread the Jared Stout Band word. Thanks, Dogtown.

I quoted a very old post of yours on my blog today: “Writing something down is a way of keeping it.” Do you remember posting that 32 years ago? Yeah, right! Like we can remember every word that ever passed through our heads, right?

Yes! “I write because I hate to lose anything and writing something down is a way of keeping it.” Posted 17 years ago, but I may have said it before that. This is the second time I’ve had a post titled “Dogtown Double Header.” Sometimes I sprinkle in old stuff sometimes I repeat without awareness of it.
