Scenes from Floyd Pride 2023

What would a PRIDE event be without a Drag Show?

There were actually two, but I missed the second one.

Some of the performers came out into the audience.

Some were not Drag Queens but were Drag Kings.

There were also speakers and live music. This is Indie folk artist Amelia Empson performing for the crowd.

Held in the Warren G. Lineberry Park, it was organized by Floyd PFLAG and the Floyd chapter of SONG (Southerners on New Ground).

Even the dogs were dressed in rainbows but I didn’t get a picture of that.

Rebecca Daly, a Floyd Democrat volunteer, staffed a voter drive booth.

There was a also a booth on promoting environmental initiatives.

How often does this happen?  This is a one-of-a-kind photo coup. Two sisters with two sisters staffing the Fit to be Tied tie dye booth at Floyd Pride. Two are friends I hadn’t seen in decades.

Mostly I socialized. It was a beautiful day and a chance to run into friends like my friend Triona!

Check out Floyd PRIDE 2021 that I covered for The Floyd Press HERE  and 2019’s A Floyd Pride Weekend, also covered for The Floyd Press HERE.
