Raising the Roof for 2024!
Last night Music Road Co raised the roof and brought it down for a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration.
It was one for the ages.
MRCO really put the CO in their name if you think the Co means company because they mixed it up with musicians from past bands (The Aliens) and local talent.
They even changed up their instruments.
And featured different members of the band and beyond.
Of course the CO could stand for community too. They really bring that together. We’re blessed to have that level of musicianship right here in Floyd and a great venue to enjoy it from.
There was lots of love and good vibes to go around.
And glitter and smiles!

I kept thinking of that old song with the line “I have all my friends with me.” And who is that bass player who came out of retirement for the show?
I really enjoyed meeting my friend Ivan’s family who came from out of town and getting in a dance with him.
We raised the roof and raised our glasses for 2024.

The bassist is Cameron McLaughlin, who was the bassist for the Alliens back when they were active. Not retired, just living in TN now!

Sweet. Thanks, Bruce. I know Janiah said his name but I couldn’t hear it. Zeph said something about bringing him out of retirement, but I guess the Aliens all were!
