Yes, we see/hear the same things and interpret them with our own biases. Truth becomes distorted but we must continue to dig for it beneath all the trash.

The grim reality you highlight so well is balanced by the last line, my fave: “until we forge our own way”.
We are impacted by the influences all around us, but not doomed to succumb to them – we can forge our own way. At least that’s my hope!

Yes we see things as we are and focus only on what we choose to focus on. Some people seem to live on different planets because of that. it is quite fascinating
