What Would You Think If I Sang Out a Tune?

It was another Sunday at the local Pub Hub, aka The Buffalo Mountain Brewery.

The Pub Hub Club this week was a group of hikers who had, fittingly, just come down off the Buffalo Mountain, the highest peak in the county.

I went to to hear my friend and neighbor Bob Grubel play some tunes and enjoy a Copperhead IPA. Listen to him perform one of his originals, “Without Tomorrow,” HERE.

Meet my new friend Cedar.

This is his sister Ophelia. Bob was singing “Yesterday” and I was really impressed that she recognized the song and knew it was by the Beatles.

Turns out, she knows a lot of Beatle songs. I asked her if she wanted to sing with Bob and she said ‘yes!’ It turned out to be a sing-along and watching her make her stage debut made my day.

Bob’s CDs were available for a donation or for free at the gig.  His book, I Always Dreamed of Flying, was for sale. Find out how Bob is responsible for me living in Floyd in this review  wrote of his book HERE.
