13: Sun Sand and Sea

1. Siesta Key is known for its powder white sand.

2. For some it’s a bucket list beach.

3. It’s so white it looks like snow.

4. Visiting in winter is like trading snow for sand.

5. There are so many gulls on the beach that at first glance they can look like litter.

6. Some of the gulls have Mohawks.

7. There’s nothing like going barefoot in Siesta Key sand.

8. Being on the Gulf, the key is also known for its sunsets over the ocean.

9. I missed this one because I was watching the Academy Awards.

10. People come out to watch the sunset and there are drum circles on the weekend.

11. I didn’t miss this one the next night.

12. We took a trolley to get gelato in downtown Siesta Key.

13. A beach vacation is always better when you have a good beach book. And when the sea breeze (wind) drives you off the beach there’s always a pool to retreat to.

When’s the last time you fell asleep at the beach?

I could never fall asleep at the beach. I’d wake up with 3rd degree burns! The curse of fair skin. It looks like you had a nice time. I hope the weather was as warm as you wanted.

Love that analogy of snow and white sand!
I am also so glad that it isn’t liter 👍
Great picture of you, Joe and The Sun 🌞

Looks fabulous! I haven’t had a vacation in 5 years. We don’t even talk about them anymore.

It’s sad, since I live in Hawai’i, but I haven’t been to the beach in months. Between weather and being sick and life itself, there just hasn’t been an opportunity!! Your photos make me yearn!
