Poetry Reading at The Book House This Sunday @2:00

Mining the Gold of the Inner Life:  My sister Sherry posted this picture after receiving my new poetry book from Amazon (also available locally at The Book House, The Harvest Moon and The Floyd Country Store). She set it against the backdrop of our family of nine siblings, the roots foundation where it all started, taken in 1996 for our parent’s 50th anniversary.

I will be reading from this book at The Book House this Sunday, May 25th from 2:00 – 3:00.  Lyrical, mythological and biographical in a personal and universal way, the poems in the collection have been shaped by the blessings and losses of life and forged from the belief that every labor of love is the whole world’s enrichment. Poetry reading attendees can expect to hear about Barbie’s Retirement, a bit about Quantum Physics and AI, A Hero’s Dream Journey, A Poem That Looks Good for its Age, a poem that got followed by Johnny Depp on Bluesky and more. I hope to see some of you there. – Colleen Redman  – More on growing up as one of nine kids HERE.
