Teasers and Pleasers from Floydfest Aurora Day 2
Right off the bat, as the say. Everything clicked. We had a frolicking fun time in the VIP stage dancing to the psychedelic reggae originals from our Floyd homeboys in the Father Sun band and meeting up with friends.

Zeph Allen, part of the Allen family tribe, played a country reggae song and managed to merge those songs. Can you believe there was a also a Grateful Dead song of Scarlett Begonias played in reggae and latin style with some lyrics sang in Spanish. Learn more about the band and their new record “Sunburn” from their webpage HERE.
Maggie Rose was a pleasant surprise for me. I missed her last year. From the Pacific , “A lot happened since last year. I had a baby who is three months old now. It could have been a Floydfest baby.” She led us in a sing-along with a chorus that we all wanted to sing out loud, “What are We Fighting for?”
I stood in awe (but was actually dancing) to the playing of master guitarist and singer songwriter Warren Haynes of “Gov’t Mule,” best known as a member of the Allman Brothers.
We caught a string band at the Floyd Country Store stage. At the Canopy Grove Omni Build Stage we saw Ranford Almond, who was On the Rise runner-up last year and just played at Floyd Small Town Summer.

This is just a teaser because I’m saving the bulk of the pictures I took for a story in The Floyd Press.

My friend Holly took this shot. Proof I was there.

Three more days of Floydfesting to go!
