1. I want to call this ‘the plate is worth the price of admission,’ but there was no admission price.

2. The guy sitting next to me at the Brewery kept calling the band Redbud but it was Rosebud.

4. Speaking of sugaree.

5. Torte or tart?

6. Would you? Maybe if I lived in Emerald City. (art by Elaine Fleck @Floyd Center for the Arts).

7. Every rule is excused by some exception and nothing happens without a little friction.

8. What does a suicide bomber / have in common with a Buddhist monk  / who protests war by setting himself on fire / and what’s the difference between them / and the man who followed orders / dropped the atomic bomb on Japan?

9. Are we fighting fire with fire? / Terror for terror? / Are those collaterally damaged / dead civilians liberated now? From my 2005 poem Starting a Fire

10. Believe it or not when we were sitting around the bonfire with our 14 year old grandson, we started talking about the Buddhist monks that set themselves on fire to protest war. It turned into a teaching moment.

11. We like to document. Me and Jason @Taste of Floyd. Story coming soon.

12. Just Do It (Nike) or Do the Next Right Thing. (concept by Carl Jung)

The shoes are stunning, but I would never wear something like that. I don’t do high heels. Now, if they could make something like that in flats…

  • 2 Sherry:

I did know the song right away – I actually named one of my birds “Sugarey” !
I keep saying to myself “Just Do It!”

    I love teaching moments!

Wow, that’s some cool art on those shoes. And I like the flames in your bonfire photo.
