I posted this entry and it messed up the whole page, so I had to delete it and that build it photo by photo. You must have caught it in between. Do you see all the way down to Mara’s photo and caption now?

I was in the Country Store for the poetry reading (previous post) from 3:30 to 5. We had to clear out after that so the store could prepare for Floyd’s famous Friday Night Jamboree, a old time music event where people “flat foot” on the dance floor and spill out onto the streets playing music and dancing. As we were leaving I noticed that some of the seat were being “held” for later with shoes and such. I’m not much of a flat footer myself, but I Contra Dance and go all out whenever the hip/hop/reggae Emily Brass Band plays in town.

The chalk monster looks similar to the monster reaching for the bowl on Alwyn’s table.
