13 Thurzzzzzday
1. On at least one recent occasion, I left the house with a hen’s egg in my coat pocket that later broke.
2. It’s only a matter of time before I splash tea on the front of my latest white shirt, burn a second pot of rice on the stove, discover that my sweat pants are on backwards, spell the word restaurant wrong for the 1000th time and bury my latest inspiration in a stack of teetering paper.
3. Funny how trifle means something of little importance, but, when it comes to desserts, the multi-layered cake that’s lined with fruit and whipped cream and is also called trifle is nothing short of monumental.
4. Ever since hearing that Albert Einstein once left the house in his overcoat with the hanger still hanging around the neck, I look over my shoulder when I go out.
6. Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, I’m possible. – Audrey Hepburn
7. Hobbits had two breakfasts and our ancestors had two sleeps per night. See HERE.
8. I have to wear an eye mask to get good sleep. Every night when I put it on I feel like I’m putting on swim goggles and preparing to dive down deep in sleep.
9. You go ahead / I see you off / Your eyes already closed in a rainbow arch of lashes / You track a dream / It floats across your lids / too far away now / to tell me the meaning / I chart my own course / and wonder if we’ll meet / in the 8 hour journey / off the deep-end of sleep.
10. Overheard at my house about the 16 Hands Studio Tour clean-up: I’m working up to working. That’s a kind of work.
11. Listening to an interview with John Meyer on NPR called Turkeys and Tattoos, I learned that he has a tattoo that spells out Home Life, a good alternative to the late Tupac Shakur’s tattoo “Thug Life.”
12. Winston Churchill planned his own funeral, using the code name “Operation Hope Not.”
13. Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die. ~ Seen somewhere on Facebook.

Mmm…I love a good chocolate trifle. Similarly, a truffle can be either an expensive fungus, or a decadent bon-bon. Thanks for reading my post!

So… why did you have the egg in your pocket?

Oh, I should have explained (I think regular readers know) that we keep hens and I check for eggs everyday. This time of year I only get about one a day from 7 chickens. I collected one, put it in my coat pocket and forgot it was there.

I love that you mention #2 with no worries…..it just happens. I have to say I am the same way with the word “restaurant.” I used to be able to spell it too and now I can’t and have use spell check like I just did.
And forget about #4????? I don’t think you would ever do that!
I like #12 and #13!!
The picture goes p-e-r-f-e-c-t with this TT!!!
