13: Too Late to Stop Now

2. When does evoke become provoke?
3. I just saw a “Grammar Quiz” on Facebook and thought it said “Grandma Quiz.” “I’d pass that,” I said to myself.
4. I tried to get the mail three times on Monday and didn’t figure it out until Joe came home and told me it was Columbus Day.
5. Here is what Floyd blogger Doug Thompson posted on Facebook about that day: On this little-recognized holiday, let’s remember that Christopher Columbus left on a trip not knowing where he was going and arrived not knowing where he was. He returned not knowing where he had been and he did it all on borrowed money. In other words, a perfect symbol for a lost colony like America.
6. We spend the first half of our life forming our outer identity and the second part on our inner identity and being who we were all along.
7. The Age Equation: The older I get / the less I have / to prove / or to say / (something new)/ The more I’m bored with routine sameness / the less I like changes / Is less really more / and more never enough? I know more / but remember it less.

10. I’m sick of hearing about Hillary’s damn emails too, Bernie. What’s hard for me to get around is her 2002 vote to go into Iraq, which, by the way, was not a blunder, as in a stupid careless mistake. It was a calculated premeditated act in which threats were fabricated or exaggerated by the Bush administration. Hillary was the only presidential candidate at the first Democratic debate who supported the Iraq invasion. Even so, there was a lot of common ground and civility between the group, which validated my sense of how different Democrats are from Republicans. – Read The Grown-ups Take the Stage at the Democratic Debate HERE.
11. Herd Mentality: It’s how people are influenced by their peers to adopt certain behaviors, follow trends, and/or purchase items. People’s brains can suppress personal moral codes when in groups because they feel more anonymous, which reduces their sense of responsibility and accountability.

The age equation – so true.
LOL about the mail. I go through the week having no idea what day it is half the time.

When we used to get mail rurally I did the same thing about the mail. I think we need a President that explain how he/she is going to do what they say they will do with such a constipated Congress.

I LOVE COWS!!! It’s funny Colleen, because I just posted a new post on October 12th, and the first thing you see at the top is this (to me) beautiful painting of ‘The Girls’ lying about peacefully. There is something about Cows….I just love them—and that’s a great picture!
As always, a Fascinating T13……The Democrats are about real things. I love Bernie….Not too sure about Hillary, BUT, still…..they do, and did, really talk about The Issues!
What a mess our world is in. It’s frightening and feels very hopeless to me—but maybe that’s because I am old and infirm and cannot see the Forest for the Trees……
If Trump gets elected…..Well, I give up!

I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting tracking numbers for packages I was readying to ship at work on Monday until it finally dawned on me it was a stupid non-holiday the post office insists on taking off.
I also agree with Bernie Sanders re: Hill’s emails. Also interesting to note: they recently reported there were attempts to hack into her server, but unlike the federal government’s server, the attacks on her’s were unsuccessful. It’s the GOP making a mountain out of a mole hill. Other government officials have admitted to using a personal server and suffered no consequences.

I checked the mail twice Monday. I agree with you about the grown-ups being the Democrats and the GOP the children. Such an obvious difference. Why would you want someone who throws a tantrum to lead your country?

Lots of smart bloggers in Floyd! Enjoyed the list, recognized most of the links without needing to follow … ( Not that they all aren’t worth a second visit) , except for the first one, which I undoubtedly need and will follow ASAP.
Wish I could express and share my opinions as well as you do.
