13: WTH?
1. The photo above looks like we had a blurry, as well as Merry Christmas, but those are actually lit-up shoes that I got in our Yankee Swap, which someone else, who was also playing, promptly stole. Can you say Dorothy?
2. What good is a chair if it doesn’t rock, a shower if it isn’t a hot bath, or a cup of tea that isn’t caramel puer? I’m living the high life.
3. Recently said by me on a Facebook thread about guns: “I will NEVER own a gun because I’m way too clumsy and I can’t even pick up a chicken.”
4. I got THIS artist calendar for Christmas.
5. And I discovered my next bucket list trip. Isaiah Zagar began work on what is now known as Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens in 1994 in a vacant lot near his studio. It spans half block now, inside and out, incredible, intricate mosaics like you have never seen. See HERE.
6. My poem Second Hand Chance was just published at Poet’s Haven HERE.
7. My eight-year-old grandson (who drew the picture to the right) is talking about wanting a youtube channel. He’s pretty impressed that I have one and wanted me to help him set one up. “Honey, I did that 10 years ago and I don’t even remember how I did it,” I told him.
8. See why this post is named “Is That Anyway to Treat Santa?” HERE.
9. Last night I dreamt that I was facilitating a town hall question-and-answer event with Trump. I was wearing a strange pointed, tall black hat with a flower at the back and a black dress. Trump was typical Trump, and during an intermission I questioned even being on stage with him and why I didn’t have better questions. The next set was with a much larger crowd and in a larger venue. I couldn’t find my hat, everything went wrong. I lost my confidence and choked.
10. The same night I dreamt that I was trying to convince my dead mother, who was a conservative, how bad Trump is and about his ties to Russia and their interference in the election. In another recent dream, I was talking to my dead sister about the election. I know she would be as upset as I am about it, but in the dream she was calm and impartial. She said had been reading about some of it on Facebook, and I thought ‘if she can read Facebook, why can’t she comment and interact.’
11. Best tweet seen on Twitter this week: “Betwixtmas: the days in between Christmas and New Year when you’re not sure if you should be drunk or at work.”
12. And my Dharmacratic poet friend Will has been at it again, he says: “Fugabunchadam right wingers; We’re going to use both wings and fly to the future.”
13. Studies have shown that taking selfies is linked to narcissism, addiction and mental illness in some people. Do we look crazy to you?

Great list to end the year, CR. Especially liked the poem, calendar art & mosaic master. I, too, have been dreaming weirder these days; sadly often Trumpicated as well.
Here’s looking forward, eh?

Love your lit chapeau – and the calendar – mine are terrific for new year greyhounds, hummingbirds and butterflies all gifts

One of you doesn’t look crazy in that selfie. I’ll let you decide which one. 🙂
I loved that twitter – “Betwixtmas: the days in between Christmas and New Year when you’re not sure if you should be drunk or at work.” I’m going to pinch it for my blog – thanks!

I’d say you both look happy enough to smile, which is infectious. 🙂
About Trump: he’s a new reality that we’ll have to learn to live with, or work around. I’ve got the foolish notion that the People’s money belongs to them, and not lobbiests. Ike was right.

I love your comment on my blog post about the word “codswallop”: “I think the Irish say ‘malarkey’ which is different than blarney and more like baloney.”
Facebook keeps encouraging me to add something to my Bio, but I put up a single sentence years ago, and it is enough: “I speak fluent Blarney.” I’m part Irish, so you and I may be distant cousins. 🙂

A wonderful TT. Those aren’t dreams – those are nightmares! I hope you check out what you are eating before you have those kinds of horrors in your sleep. It’s bad enough by the light of day.
Happy New Year, Colleen. May 2017 be blessed.

That’s a riot, Bonnie. I’ve never quite figured out if blarney is the gift of eloquence or a bunch of baloney!

Everyone in your village is off the charts so I don’t think crazy applies. My grandson has a YouTube channel where he posts challenges that he sets for himself and they scare me to death, except that they are so long I get tired of watching!
