13 Take Down
1. Could “stake,” as in “stake a claim,” be a mutant plural of “take?”
2. The more things change, the more they remain the same: Right before I took a series of photos of Joe wrestling with our grandsons, Bryce and Liam, I came across some old photos of Joe wrestling our sons, Josh and Dylan, 30 years ago!
3. Here are some titles of some of my past blogs post that have to do with snow: Snow is for the Birds, The Snow Show, Snow White, There’s No Business Like Snow Business, The Snow Down and sNOw.
4. See my grandson front and center singing in a green gingerbread man Christmas sweater in a hip school Christmas pageant HERE.
5. With a modern twist and a hip hop ho ho! With a pinata, a sleigh, a dreidl and a candle, it was an all-star Christmas show! See HERE.
6. The thought has to drop / like a pin to the floor / In a bottomless dream / it stakes a claim / With a prick of interest / that doesn’t draw blood / it won’t wake you up / until morning … Read the rest of the Art of Dream Writing HERE.
7. The first line of the above poem came in a dream and kept repeating like a placeholder loop, while the rest of the poem was felt but remained under the spell of the unconscious, which was fine with me because I didn’t want to think too much and wake up.
8. In the morning, I challenged myself to bring together what the book mark placeholder separated, the two parts of a poem’s ingredients, the part comes from the mind and the part that comes from the psyche.
9. Best sign seen on Facebook: dinosaurs didn’t read. Now they’re extinct. Thank goodness, the Thesaurus survived.
10. I really got a kick out of THESE “30 Times Librarians Surprised Everyone With Their Sense Of Humor,” but didn’t get #9 and 27.
11. Update on my pub practice: They have a new black IPA at the brewery ….it’s good but I don’t think it helped my Scrabble game. More HERE.
12. All I want for Christmas is the Mueller Report.
