That’s a Wrap!
That’s a wrap for the family Christmas Eve gift exchange, the yearly Christmas album cover shoot and the neighborhood Cookies and Kahlua Party, dubbed as “Everyone’s Already Talking About It.”
There was an overflow of party goers (including some from Maine and Spain) and a record amount of kids, so our grandsons, Bryce and Liam, put on a Christmas themed puppet show in the basement.
The show was a hit and involved Santa, a reindeer, a shot down sled and a character named Ninja Bob. Watch HERE.
The Christmas piñata was also a hit, pun intended! Watch HERE.
Ya le diste una! Ya le diste dos! Ya le diste tres! It took at least eight baseball bat whacks to crack that jackpot.
Everyone enjoyed the piñata candy and lollipops but no one wanted to try the box of worms that was mixed in with the booty bounty.
That’s a wrap, as in a pile of presents wrapped and then unwrapped, is a traditional Yankee Swap.
“Let the jolly follies begin!” said the King of Christmas and party emcee.
The swap consists of recycled, gag and high value grab bag gifts. Peanut gallery banter, breaking a rule of two and stealing is always part of the fun. Watch HERE.
One of the most coveted gifts was a unicorn game for tossing hoops onto a unicorn horn (look for it). It went around three or four times before being won by lucky 6-year-old Fisher.
By the end of the night, girls in glasses were on the look out for Santa and trying to avoid looking at the mess of all the wrappings unwrapped.
Feliz Navidad everyone!
