The 13 Wrap Up
1. Netflix’s Peeky Blinders, which Joe likes to call Squeaky Binders, is the Breaking Bad of Downton Abbey.
2. “Don’t go to the next location.” That’s what I tell myself when I wake up in the middle of the night and don’t want to go down the mind’s path of thinking.
3. My writing is an extension of and a way to organize my thinking. I’m actually more of a thinker than a writer. For me, writing is the natural final product that results from thinking, I think!
4. There was an overflow of party goers (including some from Maine and Spain) at our yearly neighborhood Yankee Swap and a record amount of kids, so our grandsons, Bryce and Liam, put on a Christmas themed puppet show in the basement. The show was a hit and involved Santa, a reindeer, a shot down sled and a character named Ninja Bob. Watch HERE.
5. The Christmas piñata was also a hit, pun intended! Watch HERE.
6. Cleaning up after Christmas, everything seemed to smell like chocolate.
7. When the Clouds on Christmas Day Look Like Santa’s Beard HERE.
8. I call the photo below “Santa Isn’t the Only One Who Wears a Red Coat.”
9. A bowtie is the male version of a hairbow, just worn in a different place.
10. We gave our grandson Liam a Santa puppet and a reindeer puppet but took out the annoying recording boxes so he could animate them himself. We put the voice boxes under chair cushions so when people sat down or got up they would mysteriously hear “ho ho ho” and “jingle bells.”
11. I posted “Trump should get coal for Christmas” on Facebook, and a friend commented, “DON’T, He’ll only burn it for power and melt the ice caps faster.”
12. 2018 is about to be tied up in a bow, or maybe 2019 is like a newly wrapped present about to be opened.
13. Ornament Moon: A glowing bulb / to top a tree / for winter’s / Christmas scenery

I doubt trump knows what coal is when he sees it.
Putting the voice boxes under the cushions, hahahaha. I love it.
You know I think I’m the same way: Writing is the byproduct of my organized thought. Although I’ve made a living as a writer, I’ve never thought of myself as a writer.

I write to organize my thinking, too! I think it’s a brain dump for me. Just not enough room for everything! Happy New Year!

Putting the voice boxes under the cushions is genius. Very cool. I hope you have a wonderful 2019.
