The upside of having 7 rounds of letters with only 1 point each is that all those Rs, Ts, and Es make it easier to make a SCRABBLE (worth 50 extra points), especially if you have an S (also only worth one point). And, a SCRABBLE (or what some call a BINGO) is a long word that has a chance of reaching one of the four triple word scores on the far corners of the board.

The Pub at the Buffalo Mountain Brewery was crowded even though, and maybe because, the weather outside was dreary and icy.  So, we played in the more private back room at the long table.  We were soon joined by a motivated group planning a BIG party bash. After an hour, I joked that we should be invited since we felt part of the group by osmosis.  They laughed but then got quiet after that.

I feel so relieved after I score a SCRABBLE, so much so that I can let myself go and order a beer, Copperhead IPA.   Cheers!
