When You Dance
When you dance, I can really love…. and for those of us who love dancing it was a real LoveFest last night, dancing at the second annual (putting my wish in now) Neil Young Tribute Concert for Climate to benefit SustainFloyd, our local grassroots environmental group.
Like last year, a host of friends played on the Dogtown Roadhouse stage under the names “Buffalo Springfloyd” (a twist on Young’s early band, Buffalo Springfield) and “Lazy Horse” (a take-off on his later band, Crazy Horse).
This is the only clip I managed to get because I was too busy dancing!
It was a Gold Rush of music for a good cause and fitting that it was Neil Young’s music, him being one of our longest-standing musician activists of social justice and environmental issues.
When you dance, do your senses tingle, then take a chance, in a trance, while the lonely mingle with circumstance?
Thanks to Jeff Liverman, Brad Collier, Dave Fason, Rick Hall, Chris Luster, Brad Miller, Cory Potrafka, Dave Shelton, Barbara Gillespie, Stell Trudel and Jake Retting for their musical talents. I heard that the concert raised over $1,000.
Check out last year’s closing Neil Young anthem, which got requested and played again this year HERE. / Our World Tuesday

Oh, wow, how I love the environmental advocates that must often speak beyond the deaf ears surrounding them. Also, so cool Neil Young is incorporated in the dance. That’s great!
