13: Balancing Act
1. I’ve heard that a lot of babies will be conceived and a lot divorces will follow this time of sheltering in place.
2. Not to mention that a lot of us will be having regular daily bad hair days. I need a haircut right now.
3. Cropping my photographs is like cutting my bangs. Got to go slow, trim and not be too drastic.
4. This Facebook post from a local restaurant made me smile: We were contacted by the Federal Government for results of the Pine Tavern’s SOCIAL DISTANCING experiments. Results were outstanding. We found all our regular customers socially distanced themselves from eating here. Based on past sales, it was 95% effective.
5. Potions or poisons?
6. Joe’s campfire story was called The New Jersey Devil, mine was called The Headless Chicken, and Liam’s might have been called Where Ketchup Really Comes From. In a pinch, Liam toasts a chocolate sea-salt protein bar. We also popped popcorn over the fire… More from Social Distance Camping HERE.
7. I consider helping to provide care to our grandsons, while they’re out of school and their parents are at work, as essential work.
8. We may be home, but we can draw ourselves into the world. Like THIS.
9. Virtual museum-going: A guide for socially-distanced art lovers HERE.
10. My social life this week consisted of talking about gardening to my check-out friend at the local Food Lion.
11. April 1: This is no joke, and Mother Nature doesn’t suffer fools gladly.
12. I bet most of us have had that moment of thinking you might have the coronavirus. And the next thought, thinking you might unknowingly be a carrier spreading it, is worse.
13. “Can’t wait to distance myself near you again some time soon.” – A Facebook friend

I have a headache at the moment. Probably allergies, after all, it is Spring. I did count back to the last time I was at the grocery store. 7 days. Yup. Most likely pollen in the air.

Glad I’m way past conceiving and divorcing. Thankful for virtual museums!
