The 13 Go-Round
1. Every time I look at this picture I think of Van Gogh’s ear.
2. Confession: I regularly pilfer NYT articles by rapidly cutting and pasting them into a document before the fire wall goes into effect.
3. And Facebook is on to me. It keeps sending me ads for great toys that I can’t resist. Toys are my click bait.
4. My Floyd writer friend Fred First just announced a new book like this: “Laughter is the Best Medicine” is my version of Chicken Soup for the Soul. Coming to a closed book store near you! I will join a hundred other authors who are also not speaking with audiences about this book and also will not be signing copies and getting to meet (and actually shake hands) with other humans. Don’t fail to miss this big non-event, unplanned for any venue anywhere!”
5. Recent announcement seen on Facebook: Bernie tests negative for president.
6. “If Dylan sings Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Prine sings Knockin’ on Your Screen Door.” -From a John Prine review I read after his death from Coronavirus complications last week.
7. I’m turning into that woman /in Norwood Massachusetts / who lived in the apartment / next to my friend Eugene / She cooked garlic in the skillet / every day at lunchtime / It wafted through the neighborhood / and smelled like Little Italy / And we wondered why / she didn’t have / something better to do / or something different to cook – Read A Slice of Life with Onion in its entirety HERE.
8. Slicing onions / like origami doves / They fly like souls / into the afterlife
9. When I meditated this morning, my mantra perched on a branch like a bird.
10. April’s birdsong: Some chirp, whistle, whoo, or coo and others literally tweet.
11. Joe is a bookworm even when he hikes. – More from We Followed a Butterfly HERE.
12. THIS video with ping pong balls and mouse traps really illustrates how social distancing works.
13. “Anytime a line is not working for me … I’ll think: WWJPD. What would John Prine do?” -Kacey Musgraves

I like your style! I was looking for more writers to follow… I write stories too. John Prine… what a loss, good on you to grab a NYT story, I never thought to do that. I thought of ear too.
